In the case of this red IPA, the wife had the final say, and this beer remained home during our recent adventure to Boot Brew Fest in Eunice, Louisiana. A pretty basic IPA. This isn’t’too bitter. A little light on aroma, but the hops are there. 13 Gallon Preboil Volume, 11 Gallon Postboil Volume. 60 minute mash at 155° – 90 minute boil. An American IPA. This is a bitter beer, and it has turned out to be one of our favorite IPAs that we’ve made. We didn’t podium with it at Eureka Height’s in their second annual Lupulin Quest competition, but we brewed this beer, and drank all of it before the judging was even completed.
