1st Place – Sweet Stout : 2023 Boot Brew Festival, Eunice Louisiana. This beer favors a porter and not a stout, but the bitterness will make it taste like a stout because of the coffee. I was torn as to what to call it. Our local brewery, Bakfish, recently started roasting their own coffee beans, so as a challenge, we decided to make coffee beers for February.
