Near and dear to our heart, and still one of our favorite beers. This recipe started it all. A double dry hopped black ipa… yeah, we started with that… and we entered into the Dixie Cup… and we made it into the top ten.

Original Gravity: 1.074
Final Gravity: 1.016
ABV: 7.6%
                                                                                

Fermentables:
13.5 lbs. - American Two Row
2 lbs.    - American Rye
½ lb.     - Cara Rye L57-76
½ lb.     - German Carafa III
½ lb.     - American Midnight Wheat Malt

Boil (hops in pellet form):
0.75 oz.  - Warrior Hops    @60
1.0 oz.   - Citra           @35
1.0 oz.   - Amarillo        @35
1.0 oz.   - Citra           @Whirlpool 
1.0 oz.   - Amarillo        @Whirlpool

Dry Hop:

3 days into fermentation:
1.0 oz.   - Amarillo   
1.0 oz.   - Citra   

7 days into fermentation:
1.0 oz. - Amarillo   
1.0 oz. - Citra   


Yeast – USE STARTER:
White Labs Dry English Ale

Special Instructions:
